The Audio-Technica VM520EB/H pairs the same acclaimed VM520EB cartridge with a factory-mounted headshell, so lead wires and alignment are already handled before it reaches you. It uses a bonded elliptical stylus for smaller, more precisely shaped contact with the groove walls than a conical tip, improving high-frequency response and tracking accuracy while sharing the same dual moving magnet platform as other VM500/600/700 Series models.

Underneath the headshell, the cartridge itself features an aluminum cantilever and a low-resonance polymer body with a center shield plate to reduce crosstalk between channels, along with a paratoroidal coil design for improved efficiency.
