Replacing the AT-ART9 as Audio-Technica's flagship magnetic core MC cartridge, the AT-ART9XI features a special line contact stylus mounted on a 0.28mm diameter solid boron cantilever for precise tracking and fine musical resolution. The specially designed magnetic circuit delivers an output voltage of 0.5 mV, making the cartridge easy to drive while remaining capable of reproducing the most delicate musical expressions with dynamic, confident playback.
A hybrid body combines machined aluminum housing with high-rigidity polymer, ensuring stable playback and minimizing unwanted resonances, while dual moving coils aligned in an inverted V shape deliver superior fidelity. Frequency response extends to 50,000 Hz with 30 dB channel separation at 1 kHz, and a recommended minimum load impedance of 100 ohms.
Designated an Audio-Technica Excellence Product, the AT-ART9XI carries the ART designation, Audio-Technica Reference Transducer, reserved solely for the brand's flagship phono cartridges, with threaded mounting for secure headshell or tonearm installation.
